My Body My Choice: Poland abortion ban

 Poland abortion ban: Warsaw streets

Protests have been taking place in Polish cities for the third night in a row

following the introduction of a near-total ban on abortion.

Abortion is now allowed only in cases of rape or incest or when the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother.

Thousands have protested for a third consecutive night in Warsaw and other parts of Poland after the country’s

rightwing government implemented a court ruling imposing a near-total ban on abortion.

Protesters have defied coronavirus restrictions and sub-zero temperatures to rally after the

controversial judgement was given legal force on Wednesday.

I wanted to have more children, you killed this desire,” read a banner held by one woman among the

demonstrators in Warsaw. Some Polish women said that if they are denied the right to terminate

pregnancies in cases of badly deformed fetuses, they would not try to have children at all.

In My Opinion:

There is a big difference between being supportive of abortion and being supportive of freedom.

I'd say most people are only for abortions as a last resort and would prefer to

live in a world where abortions don't exist because people never get pregnant when they don't want to be.
